About the project
An Aberdeen-based founder running a successful oil & gas recruitment campaign is looking for someone confident, personable and charismatic to join him. You will be picking up the phone and speaking directly with employers about candidates, so you need to be comfortable doing exactly that.
The trial is your chance to show the founder what you can do. You will work on real tasks, he will see how you actually work, and the strongest fit moves on to a contract.
You must be based in the Aberdeen area, and the role starts as soon as possible.
What you will do
- Speak with employers about candidates
- Support candidate and employer matching
- Carry out employer outreach and communication
- Support recruitment activity for an active oil & gas campaign
- Follow up and build lasting relationships
This role starts with a trial
Some startups have never run a micro-internship and will not commit to a stranger on a CV alone. So this role opens with a short trial: not a full project, just enough real work to show what you can do. It is capped, and the cap is the promise.
- Trial length
- 1–4 weeks
- Total hours
- 20 hours max
- Each week
- 5–10 hours
The strongest fit moves on to a contract with the founder, with the terms agreed before the paid work begins.
A trial can never run longer than four weeks or more than 20 hours. Past that, the work is paid.
Who it suits
Someone with excellent communication skills who is comfortable speaking to employers by phone, confident, personable, easy to work with and quick to take the initiative. Oil & gas recruitment experience is a strong advantage, and recruitment, sales or business development experience will help, but you do not need years of it. In the founder's words: “All else I can train.” Tell us briefly why you would be great on the phone with employers.
